Took about 5 years to write this song. Good ideas coalesce but you can not force a song to reveal its soul – what it is about – until it is ready. The song couldn’t work until I finally discovered the chord progression (C#m7 F#m7 B7 Emaj7 Amaj7 Dmaj7 B7). Then I learned what the song was about and could write the final verse.
